Finnish Customs Officers’ Union
Everyone working at the Finnish Customs is eligible to join the Customs Officers’ Union. The union is an organisational member of the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL.

Members
The members of the Customs Officers’ Union are employees of the Finnish Customs.
Joining the union
Members join an affiliated branch of the union. Applicants for membership should contact a shop steward in their area or a local branch official, or complete the background information form on the Customs Officers’ Union online service.
The membership subscription fee for the Customs Officers’ Union in 2025 is 0.9 per cent of gross wages. This membership subscription fee includes membership of the unemployment fund. The membership fee is tax-deductible.
Student membership
The Customs Officers’ Union does not have student members.
Satu Holm (30)
The Customs Authority provides an effective response to criminal offences in the spheres of finance, taxation and the environment. As a financial investigator, Satu Holm works to prevent billions in common tax funds from falling into the hands of criminals.
- Satu has worked at the Customs since 2019, and is currently a Senior Customs Inspector and financial investigator.
- She is a member of the Finnish Customs Officers’ Union.
