Jenniina Hotti (22)

Product assembly at Finland’s only bicycle factory in Hanko is largely a skilled manual process. There is no way that any robot could ever do Jenniina Hotti’s job.

  • Jenniina has worked as a bicycle assembler at Helkama Velox since 2022.
  • She is a member of the Industrial Union.

“I joined the union shortly after I began working here. Things progressed quite quickly when I took a keen interest in the union movement, and I am now chief shop steward at the plant. The most important job of a union is to stand in solidarity behind its members and give them confidence that support is available in various matters when needed. We are on good terms with our employer, and have always been able to discuss things openly.”

Collective agreements

The Industrial Union negotiates 35 national collective agreements and several collective agreements at individual enterprises.
