General Union of Journalists YLL
The General Union of Journalists YLL is a national left-wing federation of journalists, researchers and employees working in the communications industry. It champions freedom of speech and expression, and pluralistic communication.
Members
You may join YLL if you are:
- working in a journalism or communications-related position
- a teacher, researcher or student in journalism or communications.
Joining the union
You may join YLL by printing and completing the membership application form and sending it to the union office.
The annual membership subscription fee for YLL in 2025 is EUR 40. This membership subscription fee does not include membership of any unemployment fund. The membership fee is tax-deductible.
Student membership
Students of journalism or communications may join YLL by printing and completing the membership application form and sending it to the union office.
The annual membership subscription fee for students in 2025 is EUR 15.
Collective agreements
YLL does not conclude collective agreements.
